A person’s voice is deeply personal. We treat it that way. We only ever create a copy of a voice with the clear, informed consent of the person speaking — never without it.
How we capture consent
When a voice is recorded, the speaker:
- reads a short passage aloud that opens with a spoken line of consent (“My name is ___, and I give my permission to create a copy of my voice so my family can hear me read stories”);
- checks a box confirming they are the speaker and consent to the voice being cloned;
- and we record the consent text, the spoken consent audio, and the date, time, IP address and device used — so consent is verifiable.
How the voice is used
- Only to narrate the bedtime stories in your gift. Nothing else.
- Your voice is never sold, shared, made public, or used to train any model.
- Audio files are stored privately and served only through secure, expiring links.
Deleting a voice
You can delete a voice and every recording made with it at any time, from your account. When you do, we delete the voice at our voice provider and permanently remove the samples and all generated audio. Deletion is honoured promptly and is irreversible.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU’s GDPR or US biometric-privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data in a voice. We support these rights for everyone. Email privacy@lullavoice.app to make a request.
